BrandPulse ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Ygor Henrique, based in Portugal (EU). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use brandpul.se, how we use it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data we collect
We collect only the data we need to run the service:
- Email address — provided when you join the waitlist, sign up, or request a free brand audit. Used to send your reports and product updates.
- Brand name and competitor names — entered when setting up monitoring. Used exclusively to run your brand scans against AI models.
- Usage data — basic analytics such as page visits and feature usage, collected in aggregate and without cross-site tracking.
- IP address — logged temporarily for rate-limiting (to prevent abuse of the free audit tool) and security purposes. Not used for profiling.
2. How we use your data
- To deliver your weekly brand monitoring reports by email
- To notify you of product updates, new features, and early access availability (you can opt out at any time)
- To run the free brand audit and send you the results
- To improve and debug the product using aggregated, anonymised usage patterns
- To prevent abuse and enforce fair-use rate limits
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes. We do not build behavioural profiles.
3. Third-party services
We rely on the following sub-processors to operate BrandPulse. Each is bound by GDPR-compliant data processing agreements:
Resend
Transactional email delivery (reports, account emails). Processes your email address.
Supabase / Neon
Database hosting. Stores your account data, brand config, and report history. Hosted in EU regions where possible.
Vercel
Web application hosting and serverless functions. Processes requests and logs.
OpenAI / Google Gemini
AI model APIs used to run brand monitoring prompts. We send only brand and competitor names — never your email or account details.
4. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance reasons. Aggregated, anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
As a resident of the EU or EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests, including marketing emails
- Restriction — ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@brandpul.se. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6. Cookies
We use only essential session cookies required for authentication and security. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies that follow you across sites.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
